Milestone Events are hardly an average wedding reception.  

Is a price going to filter out what you really need and want?  Does price tell you what type of experience you will be providing your guests?  In my case, the answer is possibly “yes” to both questions – until there is an understanding of what entertainment actually brings to your reception.  I’d love to be able to claim I am competitive in rates.  I am, however, not.  Newly engaged couples that contract me for their wedding reception, place a priority on the enjoyment level of their guests.

Entertainment is the one thing you have full control over selecting.  That choice can reflect your style and most importantly – your story.  Your guests will be enjoying the reason they have been invited.   You are a unique person with a great fiancé and a “story” as to how everything comes together for a wedding your guests have been included to witness and enjoy.  These are the materials I use to build an unforgettable reception.

The gear, the blinky-lights, the music library - these are the things all DJs have in common.  These are only three items competitive DJs focus upon.  These are only the tools.  They want only to use the gear, music and lights to acquire as many “ladies in white dresses” as possible.

Time, training, and craftsmanship create a great wedding reception.  They are what becomes talent.  Now, we have revealed the actual items that make a better party.

Couples that hire me are looking for fresh ideas, new experiences for their guests, and to have the reception that will be talked about for years to come.  I strive to design, with you, the reception that will sizzle.  There is a very strong chance there will be upwards of 9 weddings on any given summer Saturday – will yours be the best?

Ken Petersen’s Milestone Event Entertainment Services,LLC (KPMEES) is a Black Hills and surrounding area formal event entertainment company born out of consumer need fulfillment.  The primary product of focus includes the five elements of a wedding: the planning period, the ceremony rehearsal, the rehearsal dinner, the ceremony and the reception.  KPMEES is designed to be focused upon quality rather than quantity.  The use of the word “Milestone” is a conscious choice.  The determinate factor whether the event is being treated as “just a” or an “actual milestone”.  KPMEES can and would accept bookings for other milestone events such as company product launches, significant anniversaries, retirements, and grand openings.  I reserve the right to which events are accepted.
